“ 4++ fantastic neighborhood mom and pop spot that is located in a strip mall and I believe has been around for about 60 years! They specialize in pizza (obviously), hot/ cold sandwiches, and some Italian staples (spaghetti, lasagna, etc.). The folks here are super friendly when you come in and the prices are seriously more than reasonable. Saw this spot when I was working late in the area and wanted something fairly quick. Most spots were already closed and I didn't want to wait til I got home from my commute to eat really late. Enter this spot. It should be noted that I got two slices here, but already I want to come back for their sandwiches or lasagna or even a fresh full pizza. The slices I got were the pepperoni and a mushroom / olive. It's similar to NY style where you choose what you want and they throw premade slices into their oven. They definitely don't skimp on the cheese here. The sauce here is delicious and the crust has a nice structure/ crunch as well as a nice chewy texture in the thick part of the crust. Easy to hold in your hand and eat on the go. I would be a little hesitant to call it full NY style because it might be missing a little bit of zest/ punch in the cheese mix, which I think comes from Pecorino Romano cheese. Not a criticism, just an observation. The pizza was really delicious and inhaled my slices pretty quickly. Plenty of parking here since it's located in an old school large parking lot/ strip mall. Definitely going on my lunch/ dinner rotation and want to come back soon try that lasagna or hot subs. ”
“ The food here is always great. My favorite pizza place hands down. I have been coming to Scardino's for about 25 years now. They have great sandwiches, pizza, and home style dishes. Recently, i have been ordering other items off the menu that i never ordered before. This time, it was lasagna. The last time was manicotti. Amazing would be downplaying it. If you are a cheese fan or fan of italian food in general... you need to come to this place. I will continue to come here for as long as i live in the area. Scardino's pizza for life. ”
